It’s official! We’ve finally decided to embark on a new adventure by launching a blog for our dynamic design firm. Perhaps you've been following our journey on Instagram (@leventhalvermaatdesign), but here, we're diving deeper into our projects. In this post, I want to take you on a journey, sharing insights about myself and our studio. So, let's get started.
I'm Jordana Leventhal, the Principal and Founder of LV Design Studio. Based in Toronto, Canada, where I reside with my partner Jeff, my two daughters Harper and Penelope, and our furry friend Louie LV. My life's passion revolves around design and travelling to distant places. Here's a fun fact about me: Slept in a tent in the Masai Mara with Lions circling all night long.
I graduated from the International Academy of Design in 2005. After graduation, I kickstarted my career in Toronto, working with globally renowned firms specializing in large-scale commercial and corporate projects. However, it was a move to Panama in 2008 that ignited my entrepreneurial spirit. There, I began freelancing for expats designing vacation homes in a burgeoning market of prosperity and growth.
Soon after, I collaborated with the University Of Ganexa Art and Design in Panama City to establish a robust Interior Design Degree Program, a first for the country. Together with a talented team, we developed a pioneering syllabus. During this period, I also took on teaching roles while continuing my freelance projects.
Upon returning back to Canada in 2011 my husband and I founded Leventhal-Vermaat Design. Our primary focus for the first six years was designing and handcrafting custom furniture and accessories. After hundreds and hundreds of crafts shows later we finally decided that Jeff would follow his passion and left Leventhal-Vermaat Design. I continued growing the Interior design portion which is now known as LV Interior Design Studio Inc. It is a thriving full service Interior Design Studio helping customers throughout the G.T.A and nationwide and boasting a team of five highly qualified professionals.
Specializing in both residential and commercial projects, We offer a diverse range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients. On the residential front, projects encompass everything from small-scale living room updates to the design of expansive new builds. Project sizes vary widely, spanning from 400 sqft. to over 6000 sqft . Versatility in our portfolio is personally important to me as everyone should have accessibility to good design no matter how big our small your budget is.
Our studio's commercial portfolio has been working with renowned brands across Canada. From historic landmarks like Union Station to modern marvels such as The Well and West Edmonton Mall, LV Interior Design Studio Inc. has left its mark on some of the country's most iconic buildings. Working alongside top landlords including Cadillac Fairview, Oxford Properties, Osmington, and many others, the studio has established itself as a trusted partner which we are very excited about.
I am committed to creativity, innovation, and client satisfaction, My team and I continues to push the boundaries of interior design, bringing visions to life and transforming spaces into captivating environments that inspire and resonate with individuals and businesses alike.
